Can you believe it's September already? This year has flown by at a pace that seems to defy the laws of physics. Well September is going to be all about getting Vizcaya ready for publication! Peer reviews are still in progress, the artist has been given the rough draft, and I'm going to attempt to work on a Vizcaya website to use to promote the book. We're on our way!
Today has been an incredibly rainy day (which happens to be my favorite kind of day). It's what I like to call perfect writing weather, so I'm going to try and get some pages written of something before I get to bed tonight. I'm not sure what I want to write in more: Winter Lakes 2, my aliens warned us not to do that! script, or my ghost novel inspired by a random road trip my friend and I took through the back roads of Florida. So many choices, only a couple of hours left....
I hope everyone had a great Labor Day. The roommates and I celebrated by eating barbecue and going house hunting. We're a month away from being homeless so hopefully we find a nice place soon. Even though we like where we live just fine, we chose to not re-sign because we're looking for something a little roomier. And of course, I'm always looking for the perfect "writing home." What's my perfect writing home? Ideally someplace with a lot of windows, a nice quiet room where I can get lost in my thoughts, and a nice view of trees or greenery or something serene and not distracting. I know this place exists somewhere in our price range! So wish us luck!
